I am completely in love with this photo shoot. I was wandering around looking for shoots to post here and… I had a few; with known models, known magazine. And then I saw this!! and I start drooling. Seriously, I think this has to be one of the best photo shoots I’ve seen. It pays homage to the early twentieth century (can someone lend me a time machine?)

The thing is: you see this and you don’t think is from 2010. Sure there is a lot of vintage-inspired shoots, but a lot of them lack something to be 100% credible. And this one has it. Maybe is the fact that is film and not digital? I don’t know It looks film-ish. Well, I want to think is film because it makes everything 100 times better. It gives that blurry/not-so-perfectly focus effect that you only get with Photoshop. And the colors!! my God those colors are amazing.

Now the stylist and the art director on this shoot are definitely geniuses.  And don’t even get me started on the model, she is my new girl crush.

A round of applause please. *clap clap clap*

So fashion week is over and I managed to go two days. The first day I just walk around the stands and stuff. I went out with two necklaces and a bracelet (made of volcanic rocks, how cool is that?! very) and a poncho? not sure if that's what it is; but it's tie dye and it remind me of Proenza Schouler SS 2010 so I said MINE IT IS. I ate a very nice meal with mother and went home.
The second day (which was the last one) I got tickets to see the actual shows. Front Row, met some amazing people. One of the best days I've ever had.

Now onto Pola. She was one of the runways I had the opportunity to see and let me tell you, it got me hooked from the very beggining. As soon as I saw the wedges+socks convo I said; this is for me. The high-wasted pants, the dresses below the knees, the cut-outs and specially, the cape. I don't know how it's called, I just know that it looks like a cape I WANT IT NOW. IN WHITE. OR BLACK. WHATEVER. I JUST WANT IT.
And then, the camel dress appeared and images of Céline and Chlóe came running into my head and I was completely sold. I loved every single piece.
Well done Pola Thompson from Chile, you are my new favorite :)

Azzedine Alaia heavenly shoes.

source: style.com, jak&jill, seaofshoes.

There is something about an Alaia shoe that is just oh so inviting to me. They have this...warm in them. For some unknown reason I think they are warm. They have the hippie-ish vibe no? (is that just me?).
I just know that when I saw those wedges on Jane Aldridge many toughts of me snatching them of her feet in a very violent way came to my head (nothing againts her really). Definetly one of her best pair of shoes.
And then Tommy Ton and Jak&Jill appeared with the other ones up there, and everytime, I let out a BIG FAT SAD SIGH.
Then I told mother "Can I have some Alaia's?"
She said "what's that?
I said "Oh my Godness, how do you dare to call yourself my mother?!"
And she said "because it hurt"
And that's that actually. This subjects makes very sad and emotional.
Alaia's please come to my life. I promise I will plant 100 trees. Yes that's right.
Now let's go bananas with this beauties.
